David Vautin
Secretary/TreasurerBorn & educated in Hobart, David commenced work at MLC as a clerk in 1960. By 1970 he had become Manager for Northern Tasmania, deciding with his wife, Coby, Launceston was where they wanted to raise & educate their 3 children. The Company expanded nationally and in 2003 was listed on the ASX. David retired in 2005 to spend more time with Coby, plus pursue his interests in Golf, Fishing, Property & Share Investing. With a passion for the wine industry, he purchased Vélo Wines in 2016 in a 3-way partnership. Its high-quality wines are show-cased in their on-site restaurant, Timbre, on the main road into Legana. David is a Founding Member of Tamar Lake Inc. and has been a Committeeman since 2019 & Secretary/Treasurer since 2020.
